Our Schools

Parents are valued as partners in their children’s education, and parent involvement is strongly encouraged. Parents volunteer in classrooms, the library, on the playground, on field trips, and at special events. Parent conferences with teachers and/or counselors are held at least annually, and for many families, occur more frequently. Back to School Night, the Celebration of Learning, Sustainability Days, student sports, events and presentations, and Open House invite all parents into the schools with a focus on sharing curricular information about the programs at Mendocino schools.

Parent groups meet monthly and all parents are welcome! These groups include the School Site councils, Mendocino Unified School Enrichment Foundation (MUSE), Club Cardinal, Chorus Boosters, among others. A Meeting for parents of students participating in the Title I program is also held annually.
