The Position - Mendocino 7-8 Grade Social Studies Teacher

• 1.0 FTE Certificated Position starting August 19, 2019
• CA Secondary Credential or Single Subject Credential (through grade 12) in Social Studies
• EL certified

• Must be able to teach all levels of Social Studies, and have a thorough understanding of the California Common Core Standards and Assessments
• Experience/interest in working with Middle School students
• Experience with problem and project-based learning experience preferred
• Knowledge and experience with Response to Intervention and Professional Learning Communities

• Demonstrable collaboration and communication skills
• Desire to be part of a vibrant, challenging and dynamic small school which focuses on academic excellence
• Be an integral part of a strong and collaborative team of teachers

• Excellent and varied classroom management techniques and differentiated strategies
• Salary based on the MUSD certificated salary schedule with up to 9 years of full time public school teaching experience accepted.
