Mark Oatney
I've been very fortunate to see so many kids enjoy making so many artworks over so many years.... I've hoped to help instill strong skills and independent creativity early enough that these children have the confidence and competence to withstand the gradual onset of the comparative/competitive adult mind and still think of themselves as artists.
In previous lives I worked as a wildlife biologist and nature photographer. Although teaching has become my primary medium since 2005, I enjoy all creative media I meet, including writing, music, and parenting.
