The Position - Mendocino 7-8 Grade Social Studies Teacher

• 1.0 FTE Certificated Position starting August 19, 2019
• CA Secondary Credential or Single Subject Credential (through grade 12) in Social Studies
• EL certified

• Must be able to teach all levels of Social Studies, and have a thorough understanding of the California Common Core Standards and Assessments
• Experience/interest in working with Middle School students
• Experience with problem and project-based learning experience preferred
• Knowledge and experience with Response to Intervention and Professional Learning Communities

• Demonstrable collaboration and communication skills
• Desire to be part of a vibrant, challenging and dynamic small school which focuses on academic excellence

K-8 Instructional Aide, 3.75 hours/day – Starting asap.  Provide assistance to certificated staff in a variety of classroom settings; tutor students in assigned subject areas; supervise students during out of classroom activities; perform clerical duties in support of classroom activities. Substitute Bus Drivers -

Substitute Bus Drivers – 6 hours/day starting 8/25/17.  Under supervision of transportation supervisor, operate a school bus over designated routes to transport students.  Requires class B commercial driver’s license or willingness to train to get one (with passenger endorsement) and special certificate to drive a school bus.  Clean driving record required. Must be regularly available.  Substitute drivers are on call.  Salary starts at $15.10/hr.  Closes 8/25/17.

K-8 Integrative Aide 6.5 hrs/day

Under the supervision of a credentialed teacher, work one-on-one with a special needs student.  Help other students in the classroom and in small group interventions.
