The Mendocino Unified School District Board of Trustees has five members representing different areas of the District and one student trustee:

Board members serve 4 year terms and are elected in at-large elections in odd numbered years. In November 2015, the Comptche, Elk, and Caspar (regular 4 year term) seats will be up for re-election, and in November 2017, the Mendocino and Albion seats will be up for re-election. The student trustee brings an awareness of student issues to the Board and serves a one year term.
